Our desire is for every person to find a place to belong at Sparta First. From Sunday School to Fellowship to Bible Study, there is a place for you!
Bible Study
Sunday School
There is a Sunday School class for every age and every person! We begin our Sunday School hour at 10:00 a.m. with a short fellowship time in the Sanctuary. Then we break up into our classes, which are as follows:
Nursery (Birth to Age 1)
2 and 3 year olds
Preschool & Kindergarten
First Grade
2nd to 4th grade
Youth
Young Adults
Adults (Co-ed)
Adult Women
Adult Men
Wednesdays
Join us each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for Adult Bible Study in the Sanctuary.
Other times
In addition to our Wednesday night Bible Study, our Women, Men and Couples will do Bible Studies at alternate times
as well. This is a wonderful time to share, and learn, and grow closer to Christ, while also building some amazing
friendships. Be sure to check the

Children
Children's Church
Age 3 to Kindergarten
During our Sunday Morning Worship service, the children leave after the song service for their own worship and Bible
Study time, perfectly suited just for them!
Joyful Noise Children's Choir
Age 3 to Grade 5
During our Evening Worship service, the children leave after the song service for children's choir practice.
TeamKID
Age 3 to Grade 2
TeamKID is on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. “It’s like VBS every week!” This is a great place for the kids to have fun
and learn about God’s Word!
Bible Drills
Grades 3-5
Bible Drills are on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Bible Skills, Drills, and Thrills! This is probably the most fun way
to learn your Bible from Genesis to Revelation!
Youth
Our youth enjoy their space upstairs, complete with comfy couches and chairs, and personalized just for them! Along
with Sunday School and Wednesday Night Youth Group, they enjoy special activities outside of normal church time. Annual events
for the youth include the Youth Lake Trip, packed full of skiing, tubing, and wake-boarding. And, oh yeah ... there's always
food!
Women
Our women are very active in seeking to serve the members of our church, as well as our community. Regular events include
a Spring Bible Study, Fall Bible Study, planning the Sweetheart Banquet in February, as well as several other events through
the year. They also plan several annual outreach events, including a church-wide baby shower for a local organization, Back
to School supply drive for the Sparta Public Schools, and serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield. It's a
great opportunity to grow closer to other women of the church and to the Lord through service and fellowship!
Men
Our Men keep busy with lots of activities to try and reach men for the Lord, while enjoying a little time outdoors!
Annual events include participation in a Men's Church Softball league in Springfield, and Fishing, Archery and Golf
Tournaments. Along the way, they are always looking for opportunities to serve the members of the church, as well as people
in our community, sharing the love God has shown them. And, of course, there will always be good fellowship and good food
involved!
This last year, our Men participated in a Mission Trip to Vermont to help build a church, as part of the Men on Mission group
out of
Trussville, Alabama. You can see pictures

Fellowship
Most will say if there’s one thing a Baptist knows how to do, it’s eat! And we definitely know how to do that!
Though food is not a requirement, we do have a couple fellowships involving food that occur on a regular basis.
S.N.A.C. Fellowship:
This is our Sunday Night After Church fellowship, which occurs on the first Sunday night of each month. Once a quarter we
have Pizza Fellowship, where the church buys pizza for everyone! Every other month, we have a themed potluck where everyone
brings dishes to share.
5th Sunday Dinners:
This is probably some of the best food you'll eat, as our members bring their favorite dishes to share! Any time there is a
5th Sunday in a month, we'll gather after the morning services to enjoy Sunday dinner together.
